Student came to us looking to learn how to operate a new boat with their family of 4. They had limited knowledge, but are very uncomfortable with the amount of experience and lack of training. They wanted to learn basics of boating, how to better maneuver the bay, and also navigate going out of the inlet and into the ocean to fish. During the lesson, their boat became disabled due to a battery malfunction. Captain Scott was able to act quickly and deploy a backup anchor to safely stop their boat from a dangerous situation. They ultimately had to get towed back in, and learned many lessons around emergency preparedness and response.
